National Association Of Child Contact Centres
EDM number 294 in 2006-07, proposed by Edward O'Hara on 27/11/2006.
That this House congratulates the Huyton with Roby Supported Child Contact Centre and its team of volunteers on gaining accreditation from the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC); notes that the NACCC now has over 300 member centres and over 400 affiliates and friends nationwide; applauds the NACCC for its commitment to providing safe, friendly and neutral places where children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents and sometimes other family members including grandparents; further notes the commendation of the President of the Family Division and Head of Family Justice that the NACCC has been instrumental in promoting good practice and reducing inappropriate referrals through its valuable work at a national level in establishing the protocol for judges' referrals, in its training of local judges and through the valuable relationships forged at a local level with its member centres; and wishes continuing success to the child contact centres in Huyton with Roby and elsewhere in their selfless provision of essential support to the children and other members of broken families.
