Treatment Of Christians By British Airways (No. 2)
EDM number 250 in 2006-07, proposed by Vincent Cable on 22/11/2006.
That this House notes that British Airways has an enlightened policy of allowing departures from its dress code for employees who believe their religious faith requires it; notes that this policy does not appear to include Christians who wish to wear and display a cross; deplores in particular its treatment of Twickenham resident Nadia Eweida, who seeks the right to wear a cross at work; and believes that the company's intransigence will damage its reputation and lose many regular customers, including hon. Members.
