Committee To Examine Deployment Of British Forces To Helmand
EDM number 244 in 2006-07, proposed by Douglas Hogg on 22/11/2006.
That this House believes that British forces were committed to action in Helmand Province of Afghanistan without adequate equipment and resources, on an assessment of risk which has proved inaccurate and without proper provision being made for reinforcements, and that these failings should be investigated by a committee of no fewer than seven right hon. Members appointed for that purpose by Mr Speaker, which should report its conclusion to this House within two months of being appointed.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
