Prison Officers In Juvenile Establishments

EDM number 2177 in 2006-07, proposed by David TC Davies on 23/10/2007.

That this House recognises the courage of prison officers in juvenile establishments who face the risk of violent attack on a daily basis; and calls on the Government to heed the call of the Prison Officers Association to allow officers in juvenile establishments to have access to appropriate tools to defend other inmates and themselves from violent attack, including the use of a baton.
