Cider Brandy

EDM number 2097 in 2006-07, proposed by Paul Keetch on 11/10/2007.

That this House opposes new draft EU regulations reviewing present EU Regulation 1576/89 dropping the term cider brandy in favour of cider spirit; believes that this will be detrimental to the sale of the product by using terminology detracting from its traditional manufacture that can be traced back to 1678; and calls upon the Government to ensure that the term cider brandy is retained.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
