Iranian Singer Elaheh
EDM number 2071 in 2006-07, proposed by Keith Vaz on 09/10/2007.
That this House is saddened by the death of Iran's legendary singer Bahar Gholam Hosseinin, whose stage name Elaheh was known across the world; notes that Elaheh was the first female voice on Iranian radio for 27 years since the 1979 revolution; further notes her international prominence as she performed in over 20 countries, including in the United Kingdom at the Royal Albert Hall; and welcomes the news that she is to be honoured with a dedicated section in the British Library.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
