Poppy Appeal

EDM number 2051 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 08/10/2007.

That this House pays its respects to those who have lost their lives during conflicts across the world; recognises the sacrifice made by millions of people who have lost their lives, not only during the two world wars, but in other conflicts and peace-keeping operations; pays tribute to the Royal British Legion through the Poppy Appeal, which helps raise awareness about the loss of life suffered in addition to raising funds in order to allow the Legion to carry out its important work and particular campaigns which benefit veterans and their families such as the current Broken Covenant Campaign; and urges everyone to support the Poppy Appeal, which helps support veterans and their families in many different ways.

This motion has been signed by a total of 93 MPs.
