Bank Hall

EDM number 2015 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 25/07/2007.

That this House notes that Bank Hall, the 17th century country house in Chorley, has been placed by English Heritage on the list of 16 buildings in extremely poor condition; recognises that the 16 buildings placed on the list are the most important and most expensive buildings at risk in the country; further notes that unless millions of pounds are spent on repairs many will collapse; pays tribute to the efforts already made to raise funds to restore Bank Hall; and urges the Government to work with English Heritage and other bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund to raise funds and encourage investment in order that Bank Hall and other national treasures can be repaired and restored.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
