Electoral Reform Society

EDM number 1982 in 2006-07, proposed by Ken Purchase on 23/07/2007.

That this House is dismayed that the Electoral Reform Society continues to play a part in the dubious arm's length management organisations' campaigns to persuade local authority tenants and leaseholders to agree to first stage privatisations of council stock; and notes that following its part in the Wolverhampton campaign, which has so far failed to deliver an extra penny of housing investment, it has now played a part in a similarly expensive campaign in Lambeth and has in both cases agreed to leading questions being formulated on the ballot papers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
