Hm Revenue And Customs Offices In Scotland
EDM number 197 in 2006-07, proposed by Pete Wishart on 21/11/2006.
That this House is concerned about HM Revenue and Customs' (HMRC) plans to reshape the future of HMRC customer contact and processing work in its Scotland offices; believes that this will lead to job losses and the prospect of closure for many local offices; further believes that any further reductions in either staff or offices will result in a poorer service to the public; supports the Public and Commercial Services Union in its campaign to resist these job losses; and hopes that the Government will reconsider its plans and instead invest in front line services.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
