Faslane 365 The Big Blockade

That this House notes that the UK has up to 200 nuclear warheads for use on Trident submarines deployed from Faslane, 30 miles west of Glasgow; further notes that Faslane 365 is a one year continuous peaceful blockade of the nuclear submarine base at Faslane from 1st October 2006 to 30th September 2007; further notes that on 1st October 2007, after a year of non-violent blockading, Faslane 365 is celebrating the diversity and impact of this civil resistance against the UK's weapons of mass destruction with the Big Blockade, a celebratory carnival of resistance to which all are welcome; looks forward to renewed resistance as the Faslane 365 year draws to a close; and notes that more information is available at http://www.faslane365.org./en/1oct.
