Commemorative Stamps For UK Overseas Territories

EDM number 1818 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 03/07/2007.

That this House pays tribute to the people of Britain's 14 Overseas Territories; notes the loyalty of the citizens of Britain's overseas territories to the British Crown, particularly during times of war; further notes how the territories, which represent diverse communities, have adapted to the changing global climate and modernised their economies and systems of government; recognises the important role that elected governments in British Overseas Territories play in representing their respective populations, helping promote social and economic advancement, and ensuring that their rights are acknowledged both in the UK and across the world; and calls on the Royal Mail to introduce commemorative stamps celebrating the role of the Overseas Territories.

This motion has been signed by a total of 41 MPs.
