Conduct Of Lord Laidlaw
EDM number 1796 in 2006-07, proposed by Gordon Prentice on 28/06/2007.
That this House notes with concern that three years after his appointment to the House of Lords as a working peer, Lord Laidlaw is still not a resident of the UK for tax purposes; further notes that he gave an assurance to the House of Lords Appointments Commission in 2004 that he would become a UK resident for tax purposes from April 2004; and believes in the light of this that he should no longer sit in the House of Lords.
This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
