Sue Ryder Care Filling The Void Publication
EDM number 1794 in 2006-07, proposed by Ian Gibson on 28/06/2007.
That this House recognises the vital role of Sue Ryder Care in providing palliative and neurological care for thousands of people across the UK; welcomes their new report Filling the void: How real life health information builds better services; deplores the lack of data currently available about people in need of neurological and palliative care and the impact this has on developing services; and calls upon the Government to support the We Care: Who Pays? campaign and recognise that for Sue Ryder Care and other specialist voluntary providers to play a full role in meeting the health needs of the nation, they must be paid the true cost for the statutory care they deliver, so voluntary funds can be used for their proper purpose.
