National Pet Month

That this House commends all those involved in National Pet Month, which seeks to promote responsible pet ownership and raise money for local animal charities; specifically congratulates those involved in Wet Nose Day, which took place on 24th April, a day that has been set aside for celebrating pets, supporting animal charities and acknowledging the magnificent work of their veterinarians who work tirelessly all year round to increase public awareness on issues of welfare and encourage responsible pet ownership; and thanks all the staff of veterinary practices for their added efforts over National Pet Month.
