CENTENARY OF THE FIRST AID NURSING YEOMANRY (THE PRINCESS ROYAL'S VOLUNTEER CORPS)

That this House congratulates the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (The Princess Royal's Volunteer Corps) on its 100th anniversary; commends the work of its members who speedily, efficiently and effectively respond to civil and military emergencies in London and the South East of England providing support to the emergency services and those affected by those emergencies; and remembers with gratitude and pride all those women of the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry who have served and the many who have given their lives during the last 100 years in the service of their country both in peacetime and in war, on the front line and on the home front, and particularly those who served in the Special Operations Executive during the Second World War, three of whom were awarded the George Cross.
