Funding For Cetuximab
EDM number 1427 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 08/05/2007.
That this House notes the case of Mr Terence Booth, who is suffering from metastatic colorectal cancer; recognises that Cetuximab, the only drug which can help prolong his life, is not available on the NHS, with treatment costing in the region of £20,000; further notes that his application for funding from the primary care trust has been turned down on two occasions; and calls on the Government to improve access to life-prolonging drugs by making them available on the NHS so that all sufferers from metastatic colorectal cancer and other illnesses are not denied access to drugs which can prolong life.
This motion has been signed by a total of 52 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
