LEEDS CHILDREN'S AND MATERNITY HOSPITAL

That this House is highly disappointed at the decision to postpone the construction of a dedicated children's and maternity hospital in Leeds; notes with alarm that senior children's doctors in Leeds have stated publicly that children's services in Leeds are not fit for purpose and have declared their anxiety about the continuing safety of children in hospital in the city; and supports the Yorkshire Evening Post's campaign urging the Secretary of State for Health to step in and secure the future of the Leeds Children's and Maternity Hospital.
