Re-Routing And Dualling Of The A303/358

That this House notes the previous Secretary of State for Transport's decision to approve on environmental grounds the re-routing and dualling of the A303/358 section between South Petherton and the M5 at Taunton, of the east-west second artery between London and Penzance and north-south strategic link between North Devon, Somerset and Dorset; and calls for the scheme now proposed by the Highways Agency to be brought forward in the Department for Transport's Roads Programme to 2009 for completion in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
