Replacement Of Trident

EDM number 1106 in 2006-07, proposed by Hywel Williams on 13/03/2007.

That this House believes that nuclear weapons cannot protect the UK from modern security threats; notes that a decision to replace Trident could well be unlawful and would not make the world a more secure place; and believes that the £76 billion estimated cost of Trident replacement and maintenance would be better spent on health care, education, alleviating global poverty or tackling the problems of climate change.

This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
