Schools And Parental Choice
EDM number 1030 in 2006-07, proposed by Clive Efford on 02/03/2007.
That this House believes that every school must be given the necessary resources to meet parental expectations when exercising their preference for a school; recognises that some schools need extra resources if they are going to improve results of the type published in school league tables; and further believes that the widest possible parental choice can only be delivered if schools that deliver education services in the most challenging circumstances are resourced to ensure that no child is disadvantaged because they have failed to obtain a place in their first choice of school.
