Visit Of Hsh Prince Nikolaus Of Liechtenstein
EDM number 977 in 2005-06, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 08/11/2005.
That this House welcomes the visit this week of His Serene Highness Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, accompanied by Klaus Wanger, the President of the Liechtenstein Parliament, Ivo Klein, Deputy President of the Liechtenstein Parliament and other Members of the Liechtenstein Parliament; notes that Liechtenstein, a long-standing friend and ally of the UK, has prospered magnificently as an independent Principality within the boundaries of Europe; further notes the importance of maintaining trading links, shared cultural affinities, and historic ties between the two countries; and hopes that the visit will further strengthen the relationship between the Royal Families and Parliaments of both nations.
