LIVERPOOL'S APOLOGY FOR THE DROWNING OF THE TRYWERYN VALLEY

EDM number 818 in 2005-06, proposed by Mark Williams on 20/10/2005.

That this House wholeheartedly welcomes the apology made by Liverpool City Council for the drowning nearly 50 years ago of the Tryweryn Valley; notes that the legislation to allow the flooding was not supported by any Welsh honourable Members; and recognises that this move by Liverpool City Council could open a new era of co-operation between Merseyside and Wales, especially North Wales, that could be of real benefit to both areas.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
