Administrative Requirements For Business

EDM number 806 in 2005-06, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 19/10/2005.

That this House notes the increasing burden of bureaucracy on businesses and farmers; recognises the need for the Government to work with the Confederation of British Industry, the European Union, the Small Business Service, regional chambers of commerce and other representative organisations to help reduce the burden of bureaucracy; further notes the difficulty faced by farmers who have a number of similar forms to fill in which are returned to various Government departments; and calls on the Government to outline a road-map setting out a long-term strategy to help reduce the amount of bureaucracy and support businesses with their administrative duties.

This motion has been signed by a total of 44 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
