FUNDING OF TREETOPS AND OTHER CHILDREN'S HOSPICES
EDM number 804 in 2005-06, proposed by Robert Flello on 19/10/2005.
That this House pays tribute to Treetops Children's Hospice, that covers Staffordshire and South Cheshire and the other children's hospices around the UK for the outstanding work they do in supporting children and their families; notes that Treetops, along with a number of other children's hospices, receives no Government funding from the NHS; and calls upon the Government to require primary care trusts (PCTs) to passport funding to the hospice for the medical treatment of children where they are receiving respite or terminal care and reform the way PCTs are required to work together to support children's palliative care.
