Democratic Legitimacy
EDM number 520 in 2005-06, proposed by Paul Flynn on 06/07/2005.
That this House is sympathetic to the complaint that the General Election did not give the Government absolute democratic legitimacy; and believes that voters may welcome an immediate new General Election to produce a more emphatic result as voters express their gratitude to the Labour Government for its conduct since 5th May.
