Tennis In Northern Ireland
EDM number 449 in 2005-06, proposed by Kate Hoey on 28/06/2005.
That this House expresses concern that citizens of the UK living in Northern Ireland are unable to choose to compete within the British tennis structure having instead to be part of the Tennis Ireland structure; and therefore calls on the Minister and the Northern Ireland Sports Council to ensure that youngsters like 11 year-old Harry Heyburn have access to the British Lawn Tennis Association programmes for tennis development.
