Ambleside Climate Change Initiative

That this House celebrates the launch of the Ambleside Climate Change initiative, which aims to raise awareness among local people and visitors of climate change issues and international poverty, linking lifestyle choices with increasing vulnerability in poor countries; welcomes the aim to encourage local residents and visitors to undertake practical action with a view to building long-term sustainable community initiatives; congratulates the organisers of the initiative; and encourages other communities to follow suit in working together to tackle climate change.
