Water Charging In Northern Ireland

EDM number 2707 in 2005-06, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 11/10/2006.

That this House notes the decision by Direct Rule Ministers to introduce water charging in Northern Ireland; recognises that, for any viable and fair system to be supported throughout the community, extensive consultation needs to be undertaken and responded to; regrets that this has not been the case; and calls upon Government to delay introduction of legislation regarding water charging until such consultations have been carried out.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
