That this House is delighted yet not surprised by the news that Birmingham has been named best city for local amenities in the Local Life report from the Future Foundation; notes the hard work of Birmingham City Council members and staff in achieving Birmingham's success; and thanks Somerfield for commissioning the survey and highlighting the importance that people attach to local amenities such as libraries, supermarkets, churches, recycling facilities, pubs and dentists' surgeries.
