125th Anniversary Of The Black Friday Fishing Disaster In Scotland

That this House commemorates the 125th anniversary of the Black Friday fishing disaster which took place off the east coast of Scotland on 14th October 1881; remembers the 189 fishermen who tragically lost their lives that day; praises all those in the different communities in Berwickshire and elsewhere who are involved in marking this important anniversary; and recognises the risks faced by present-day fishermen when undertaking their valuable work.
