Nuclear Workers Lobby 12th July 2006

EDM number 2600 in 2005-06, proposed by John Robertson on 18/07/2006.

That this House congratulates the great campaign and lobby of Parliament on 12th July and the petition signed by 15,000 nuclear workers, their families and their communities; acknowledges the need for a balanced energy mix including renewables, gas and clean coal highlighted in the recent Energy Review announcement; but further recognises the need for the development of new, replacement power stations that will help secure the United Kingdom's energy supply and help prevent global warming.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
