PETERBOROUGH'S BRING A POUND TO WORK DAY

EDM number 2504 in 2005-06, proposed by Stewart Jackson on 04/07/2006.

That this House notes that the Peterborough Evening Telegraph and Lite FM have launched an appeal entitled Bring a Pound to Work Day; further notes that, on 19th July 2006, everyone in the Peterborough area will be asked to bring a pound to work and donate it to the maternity unit at Peterborough District Hospital for the purpose of purchasing a new baby heart monitor, as well as giving the accident and emergency department a makeover; congratulates Peterborough's local media for their community spirit; thanks local organisations and individuals for the generosity; and wishes the appeal the best of luck in raising much needed funds for a worthwhile local cause.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
