That this House congratulates West Ham United Football Club on its recent success in securing promotion to the Premier League; expresses its thanks to the Chairman, Manager, players and fabulous supporters for their superb contribution in placing the area on the map, and the resultant positive boost to the local economy; and believes that their promotion augers well for the Olympic bid, which if successful will provide an historic opportunity to invigorate the UK and radically transform East London.
