Closure Of A5 In North Wales
EDM number 2419 in 2005-06, proposed by David Jones on 21/06/2006.
That this House notes the closure of the A5 trunk road between Dinmael and Ty-Nant, North Wales, from 26th May to 16th June, 2006; is concerned that such closure occurred with only a few days notice and without any arrangements having been made by the Welsh Assembly for the provision of an alternative route; deplores the damage that has been done to businesses operating in the area; and calls upon the Government to urge the Welsh Assembly to pay compensation to businesses which have suffered losses as a result of such closure.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
