GREATER MANCHESTER, EAST CHESHIRE AND HIGH PEAK FAMILIES' NETWORK USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS

EDM number 1778 in 2005-06, proposed by Nicholas Winterton on 08/03/2006.

That this House notes with concern the publication and distribution by the Greater Manchester, East Cheshire and High Peak Children, Young People and Families' Network, of 50,000 copies of Dr Tilly's Big Idea story and game for five to eleven-year olds as part of the current Making it Better consultation on the future provision of healthcare services in east Cheshire; further notes with concern the one-sided propaganda contained in the publication about the future of children's and paediatric services currently delivered at the Macclesfield District General Hospital; and considers this exercise to be wholly inappropriate and a disgraceful waste of public money.
