DEATH OF DHABIHU'LLAH MAHRAMI
EDM number 1741 in 2005-06, proposed by Peter Luff on 02/03/2006.
That this House notes the death in Yazd prison, Iran on 15th December of Dhabihu'llah Mahrami, a Bahá'à imprisoned for his faith; recalls that Mr Mahrami had originally been sentenced to death for apostasy and understands that he had no known health concerns at the time of his death; and urges the United Kingdom Government to seek an explanation from the Iranian authorities as to the cause of death of this prisoner of conscience.
