Association Of University Teachers Boycott Of Israeli Universities

EDM number 173 in 2005-06, proposed by John Mann on 24/05/2005.

That this House welcomes the call of Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister Dr Kim Howells for the Association of University Teachers to reconsider its policy to boycott selective Israeli universities, which has attracted widespread international condemnation; and believes that such a boycott would be effectively anti-Semitic, a barrier to the developing peace process and would leave a stain on the reputation of British academia.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
