Separate Tamil Nation

EDM number 1670 in 2005-06, proposed by Elfyn Llwyd on 16/02/2006.

That this House acknowledges the equality of both Tamil-speaking and Sinhalese Sri Lankans; and recognises the sovereignty of a separate Tamil-speaking nation, independent from the Sinhalese majority that continues to govern since independence in 1948.
