Iceland Exhibition And Clean Energy

EDM number 1501 in 2005-06, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 26/01/2006.

That this House welcomes the Pure Iceland Exhibition in the Science Museum, which explores the country's peculiar geography and varying weather conditions and displays how Iceland is using its natural resources to power itself and protect the environment; endorses the Icelandic government's efforts to utilise clean energy in the form of hydroelectric and geothermal power while replacing the use of fossil fuels with hydrogen-based fuels; and hopes that this exhibition will draw attention to cleaner energy and encourage other nations to take a more environmentally friendly approach to energy production in the future.

This motion has been signed by a total of 47 MPs.
