Extension Of Entitlement To Travel Concessions

That this House welcomes the Travel Concessions (Extension of Entitlement) (England) Order 2005 and supports the extension of provision of free bus travel for over-60s and disabled people; but calls on the Government to ensure that adjacent local authorities co-operate to provide a joint concessionary travel scheme to provide free bus travel across adjoining district boundaries, particulary when this is necessary to provide access to hospitals, shops and other essential facilities.
