Dr Gwynfor Evans
EDM number 136 in 2005-06, proposed by Elfyn Llwyd on 18/05/2005.
That this House notes with sadness the death of Dr Gwynfor Evans, the former honourable Member for Carmarthen; recognises his enormous contribution to politics in Wales and beyond; values his fearless dedication to the cause of peace and international understanding; remembers in particular his peace mission to Vietnam at the height of the American war in that country; notes that the University College of Wales College Aberystwyth is opening a new building for its International Politics Department; and believes that this building should be named Adeilad Gwynfor Evans.
