Harold Pinter And The Nobel Prize For Literature

EDM number 1307 in 2005-06, proposed by Mark Fisher on 20/12/2005.

That this House congratulates Harold Pinter on being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature; and believes that, in honouring him, the Nobel Prize Committee is also honouring English literature, English drama and the English language as expressed by a master who, in all his work, has remained valiant for truth and who has given voice to ideas and to people who are silenced.

This motion has been signed by a total of 62 MPs.
