Equality Bill And Provision Of Goods And Services For Transsexual People
EDM number 1083 in 2005-06, proposed by Lynne Jones on 22/11/2005.
That this House notes that transsexual people were granted legal recognition under the Gender Recognition Act 2004; abhors the discrimination frequently experienced by transsexual and transgender people; and urges the Government to accept amendments to the Equality Bill which will outlaw discrimination in the provision of goods, facilities and services to transsexual people and will ensure that transsexual people are fully included in the public sector duty to promote gender equality.
