CARDIFF'S 100th AND 50th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

That this House congratulates Cardiff on the occasion of its 100th birthday as a city and 50th birthday as the capital of Wales; recognises that Cardiff has been both a support to the rest of Wales and has led the way as a major European competitor; pays tribute to the hard work of Cardiff's residents, businesses, community leaders, educators, health workers, charities and many others who have ensured Cardiff has a rich heritage and a flourishing economic landscape; looks forward to the future of Cardiff; and wishes it every success.
