International Island Games 2009 In Ynys M(n

EDM number 995 in 2004-05, proposed by Albert Owen on 23/03/2005.

That this House welcomes the decision by the International Island Games Association's executive to recommend that Ynys M(n-Isle of Anglesey hosts the 2009 International Island Games; recognises the importance of the bi-annual event which attracts over 3,000 competitors from 24 member island communities to sporting, social and economic regeneration; and wishes the 2005 host, the Shetland Islands, a successful games.
