Yorkshire And Humber Bus Pass

EDM number 980 in 2004-05, proposed by John Grogan on 22/03/2005.

That this House welcomes the introduction of free off-peak local bus transport for pensioners and disabled bus users from April 2006; notes that many bus journeys in Yorkshire and the Humber cross county and district boundaries, for example Leeds to Scarborough and Wetherby to Harrogate; and calls on both South and West Yorkshire Passenger Transport executives, together with councils in the region, to commence negotiations to introduce a Yorkshire and the Humber-wide bus pass in April 2006.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
