Nhs Dentistry In Rutland

EDM number 973 in 2004-05, proposed by Alan Duncan on 22/03/2005.

That this House condemns the near total destruction of NHS dentistry in Rutland; notes that in the course of the last eight years most of those who live in Rutland either have been unable to find an NHS dentist or have been forced off existing NHS practice lists; expresses disbelief at Government claims that all who live in Rutland can always find a local NHS dentist; regrets that Labour policy has required the principal remaining NHS practice in Oakham, Dentith & Dentith, to withdraw from NHS treatment; notes that queues for registering with a new practice in nearby Lincolnshire stretched for hundreds of yards down the street; and recognises that Labour have totally failed to meet their undertakings for the provision of NHS dentistry across the country.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
