Support For Quality British Foods
EDM number 967 in 2004-05, proposed by Bob Spink on 21/03/2005.
That this House believes that the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' withdrawal of support for a campaign to promote quality food because it believes the images used, particularly that of a cow called 'Daisy', may be seen as too 'British', is political correctness gone mad; and calls on the Government to support the campaign and to more actively promote excellent British food produce and to fight any improper attempts by the EU to stop such campaigns.
This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
