St Helena Airport

EDM number 911 in 2004-05, proposed by Bob Spink on 14/03/2005.

That this House welcomes the announcement from the Department for International Development that an airport is to be provided on St Helena, comprising construction of a 2,250 metre runway capable of supporting the Airbus A320, Boeing 737-800 and equivalent aircraft; and congratulates the Department on this decision, which will help St Helena to achieve sustainable economic growth and social development.
